True artist has left the building

I know this is a little late but I would like to leave a little tribute to one of the most innovative and eclectic fashion designers in this modern age, Alexander Mcqueen. After having been head designer for Givenchy, he finally founded and launched the Alexander Mcqueen labels, where he was awarded “British Designer of the Year” for four years. On February 11, 2010, Mcqueen took his own life, nine days after the death of his mother in his London home. His collection will still go on during Paris Fashion Week, and I’m sure many will revere his truly original work. Mcqueen was also recently was awarded a posthumous “Top Design Award” for his Spring and Summer 2010 Collection
